Environmental issues like energy efficiency, natural resource utilization, waste management and climate change are at the top of the agenda for GTL. As GTL employees constitute the core of our organization, it is important that they are aware of GTL’s environmental activities. Several awareness campaigns are created to enable our employees to get actively involved and become energy efficiency ambassadors when talking to our stakeholders.
 
Training & Awareness sessions are done mainly by
Displaying posters on notice boards.
Having seminars and presentations by NGOs and other external agencies.
By posting articles on notice boards.
 
We also generate awareness by
Regular email campaigns highlighting a cause
Imparting training on various techniques of resource consumption
Participating in the community development programs
 
No of persons trained for Environmental management program
The training programs are conducted on a continual basis. As a result, department heads organize their own training programs according to the training needs and relevance of certain skills. The training priorities are classified into four areas: technical, behavioral, environmental and quality. Safety & health training is an integral part of environmental area.
GTL conducts in house training on Environmental awareness, Energy Conservation and Aspect Impact study every six months. Awareness is also spread among employees by way of posters, displays and workshops.
Authorized trainer trained few company employees as certifies internal auditor for Integrated Management System (QMS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, EMS ISO 14001 2015 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
There are trained engineers in environment cell who are engaged in monitoring, compliance and to take care of environment related issues with Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, central pollution Control Board and Ministry of Environment and Forest and other Government agencies.
All the employees performing specific tasks are made aware of Aspects and Impacts associated with their activities and trained on mitigating the effects on environment. Also on a regular basis all the employees and staff are trained on Emergency preparedness.
