Aspect Impact Analysis
GTL derives a list of significant environmental impacts by carrying out Aspect Impact analysis of its activities.
Each significant impact is then either “Improved” by means of Environmental Management Program or “Controlled” by means of Work Instructions (WI) and Operational Control Procedures (OCP), as a part of Environmental Management Program (EMP).
GTL is implementing, maintaining and continuously improving its integrated environmental management system with the aim of realizing the Global Group philosophy of better sustainability, designing business activities to reduce environmental impacts and risks, and complying fully with internal policies established for the Group. The framework for the system is based on a plan, do, check, act model that reinforces continual improvement in operations.
By implementing an Environmental Management System, GTL systematically discovers and controls the effects it has on the environment. Cost savings are made through improved efficiency and productivity. These are achieved by detecting ways to minimize waste and dispose of it more effectively and by learning how to use energy more efficiently.
